![]() If your employees are doing work with the 890L in the field then set them up with a corporate VPN and tunnel them back to your office network where everything is allowed. You could also pony up $500 for a static and public IP address from VZW, but most don't value that kind of an investment. VPN will tunnel all of your traffic through an already open port in the VZW firewall and virtually place you on a different providers network (one you hope has public IP and ports available). You need to remove yourself from the VZW network entirely if you want to host Xbox and that is where the VPN comes in. Until then the features on the devices themselves will be at the mercy of the main VZW firewall policies back at home base. Hopefully you can see that getting a public IP is the main problem here. A public IP also means that the port forwarding functionality on your router will be enabled too. ![]() When you have a public IP then you can configure your router to forward specific traffic onto one device or another making them publicly available on the web. While home routers provide NAT (.x) networks, a more traditional service provider will still assign the modem a public IP Address. NAT forces your IP Address to look the same as everyone on the VZW network, there is no way for your friends to initiate a proper connection to you but you can reach out and play with them just fine. Xbox will work, but you will not be able to host any games since you do not have a public IP Address.
